Heat Fic Summer 2020

I am also Soulstoned on ao3. I only requested fic, but I would be thrilled with an art treat. Likes
• All the nasty details. Whether it's an injury, an illness, something pregnancy related, sex, etc. Don't be afraid to make it gross. My one exception is please no poop or vomit in a sexy context (in an illness or infant-care related context it's fine.) It's also completely fine to gloss over things if it's easier for you or you don't want to squick yourself, just don't feel like you need to hold back for my benefit because I like the gross stuff.
• Love. Let the couples I requested be gross in a completely different way, maybe even despite themselves. Give me a heart-boner.
• I really like newly established couples still figuring things out together and friends-to-lovers.
• World building. Telling me something is happening is great, but telling me why it's happening is even better.
• For any pregnancy related request, I would absolutely love it if any fic that includes the birth also includes a bit about the immediate post-partum period. I love reading about the physical recovery and adapting to life with a baby.
• Humor, not like crackfic, but in that a lot of my requests are pretty ridiculous and it's totally fine if the characters notice this as well. Having a sense of humor about what happens is a big plus.
• Switching. I have no top/bottom preferences for any of my ships.

• Trans headcanons for requested characters (fine for unrequested characters)
• Asexual headcanons
• Unrequested non-canon het. I also don't want any het couple that broke up over the course of canon events. Endgame het, M/M, and F/F ships only please.
• Setting or species change AU.
• Breakups or infidelity. (If a character is in an endgame canon relationship, break them up before the start of the fic.)
• Men with vaginas, PIV sex in general.
• Ageplay, daddy kink, mommy kink
• Using animal terms to refer to a pregnancy or baby (pup, kit, litter, etc.) Joking about having a litter once or twice as a response to having multiples is fine, just don't make "litter" the normal term for any pregnancy.
• Excessive feminization of male characters. Please don't make male characters significantly more feminine than they are in canon.
• Permanent major character death. Killing villains and OCs is fine, mentioning or even focusing on canon character death is fine. I just don't want any new deaths. I also don't want any child deaths for children related to requested characters including OC children.
• Completely hopeless endings
•Omega oppression storylines. It's okay if a character is embarassed by their heat or even by being an omega, just nothing where they are being actively discriminated against or having to keep their status hidden for their safety
Omegaverse Thoughts
I'm putting this here where it is completely unenforceable because I know a lot of this is really subjective and potentially contradictory. If you're unsure if I would like something or you aren't sure how to work around one of my dislikes, you can contact me through the mods or just go with your gut and I'm sure it will be fine. I read and enjoy fics with my "dislikes" all the time.
Things I like:
• Heats and ruts (I prefer the turbo-horny but still able to think clearly version over the mindless fuck-machine version)
• Omega/Omega or Beta/Omega pairings
• Mpreg or risk of mpreg (but not the characters specifically kinking on that risk)
• Fisting as a substitute for a knot for a character who doesn't have one. Alternatively, knotting sex toys.
• Anal sex with no prep necessary
• Omega or beta partner struggling to keep up with their partner's heat.
Things I don't like:
• Animalistic behavior. Things like snuffling and chirping, and thinking of other people as "packmates." The more human their behavior and world view is the better.
• Societal oppression of omegas (or betas or alphas) especially if done in ways that are clearly just sexism with the serial numbers filed off.
• Omegas as biologically automatically more nurturing or subservient to alphas. Alphas having an "alpha voice" that they can use to control others.
• Use of animal terms for a baby or pregnancy, like pup, kit, litter.
If I didn't mention it specifically, I probably feel very neutral about it. (Scent, biting, pair bonding, and nesting fit here. There are probably also things I'm not thinking of)
I tend to headcanon omega males and alpha females as capable of both getting pregnant and impregnating others, while not being quite as good at either one. Betas are just regular people, alpha males have a higher sperm count and can more easily keep up with an omega's heat, and omega females have very easy pregnancies and higher odds of having multiples (not super high, and more than three is still very rare)
I really prefer when you wouldn't know who is an alpha, beta, or omega unless they told you. It's the sort of thing you know about your family and close friends, but not just any guy you see on the street. It is commonly listed on dating sites and usually comes up very early in a relationship, but it isn't something most people really define themselves by.
Omegas and betas are indistinguishable externally, and alphas aren't super obvious outside of rut or dealing with a partner's heat. There are tests for it, but most people don't know what they are until puberty.
You don't have to go with that version of omegaverse, but it is my favorite. Mostly I just want to feel like I'm reading about people and not dogs in people suits.

For this ship I would pretty equally enjoy established but very new relationship, getting together, friends with benefits, or pre-ship mutual pining. Whatever works best for you! No top/bottom preference. Even for heats maybe Mako tries to relieve it by topping first before he realizes that isn't going to cut it. I like switching, so either way is fine by me. I opted into any rating, I enjoy smut but I also enjoy fics without it. Aftermath is great.
Beta!Wu/Omega!Mako
- Mako goes into heat, nobody but Wu is around to help. It goes better than expected.
- Omegaverse is introduced to the world as a side effect of opening the third spirit portal. Mako finds out he's an omega at the same time as everyone else. Maybe Wu keeps waiting on a heat or rut that never happens.
- Mako disappears for a few days once every few months to take care of a personal matter. Wu doesn't think much of it because who would expect Mako to be an omega and have heats to take care of. Somehow he finds out.
- Aftermath of spending a heat together. Maybe an awkward morning after, maybe a discussion of feelings, maybe finding out if they would still enjoy sex without the heat as a reason, maybe a pregnancy scare (to be resolved however you want, anything from a negative test or an abortion to a fic that follows them up through birth and figuring out how to parent together.)
- First heat while recovering from a serious injury, careful sex.
SP!Mako/SP!Wu
- Sex pollen caused by a spirit trying to bring what it sees as compatible people together.
- The vines in republic city start to bloom and the flowers give off sex pollen.
- Aftermath of sex pollen. Maybe an awkward morning after, maybe a discussion of feelings, maybe finding out if they would still enjoy sex without the pollen as a reason.
- Sex pollen is just the excuse they need to give in to feelings both have been refusing to act on for months or years.
Voltron Legendary Defender
Shiro/Keith
I would like established but new relationship, long time serious relationship, or getting together for this. I have no top/bottom preferences (but I understand that due to the nature of heats the fic will probably be bottom Keith) I opted into any rating, I enjoy smut but I also enjoy fics without it. Aftermath is great.
In heat!Keith/Shiro
(Alien biology with heats being a thing that affects Keith due to his Galra side and Shiro as a normal human)
- Galra have something akin to A/B/O. Keith doesn't expect it to affect him since he is half-human and it normally would have by whatever age he is when this fic is set. Turns out he's just a late bloomer.
- A far too late realization that heats mean Keith can get pregnant.
- Keith gets his first heat and has no idea what's going on.
- Keith has been hiding his heats and spending them alone. Now that he is dating Shiro he is finally ready to share one for the first time.
- Keith gets the Galra birds and the bees.
- First heat while recovering from a serious injury, careful sex.
Yuri!!! On Ice
Otabek Altin/Yuri Plisetsky
I like established but new relationship, long time established relationship, getting together, or mutually pining friends with benefits best for this ship. Anywhere from immediately after Welcome to the Madness (like, they rushed back to one of their hotel rooms the second they could get away) to a few years post-retirement is fine. No top/bottom preference. I opted into any rating, I enjoy smut but I also enjoy fics without it. Aftermath is great.

- One of them bombs a competition due to being distracted by their own heat or pre-heat. The other makes them feel better.
- One of them has their first heat unexpectedly, luckily it happens while the other is visiting.
- Aftermath of spending a heat together. Maybe an awkward morning after, maybe a discussion of feelings, maybe finding out if they would still enjoy sex without the heat as a reason, maybe a pregnancy scare (to be resolved however you want, anything from a negative test or an abortion to a fic that follows them up through birth and figuring out how to parent together.)
- Figuring out how to best help with a heat as a beta upon finding out that the other is an omega. Maybe research or toy shopping, or awkwardly asking a more experienced beta/omega couple for advice. (Victuuri would be great, especially with omega!Victor and Beta!Yuuri)
- Navigating a heat long distance. Phone or video sex, maybe whichever one is the beta drops everything and hops on a plane to surprise the other.
