Dear author or artist, thank you for writing or drawing for me! In my letter I have grouped together similar freeforms and explained a little bit more how they might work for the ship in question, if you have other ideas involving my requested freeforms that is fine too, the surprise is half of the fun of doing an exchange! If you write or draw smut, I don't have any top/bottom preferences. All ships and freeforms are for both fic and art. I don't have specific art prompts for every freeform, but I will try to include them where I can think of them. I am soulstoned on Ao3.

General Likes:
• Fic that takes place in canonverse

• Mpreg, fpreg, and kidfic.

• First times, and tentative new relationships

• Getting together fic

• Hurt/comfort fic

• Injury recovery fic

• Sex pollen, aliens made them do it, fuck or die, and similar tropes

• Rescue missions

• Time loops and time travel, especially to try to prevent something terrible from happening

• I honestly really like it when my faves suffer as long as the ending seems hopeful

Art likes:
• Art drawn in your own style or a style similar to the show.

• All ratings from G rated fluff to graphic porn are welcome.

• Facial expressions, I like it when you can really see how a character is feeling from the look on their face.

• Neck kisses and other intimate poses.

• Characters having fun together, laughing, smiling, playing a game, etc.

• If they have rings on, it totally fits the marriage theme.

• Proposals

• Dialogue/short comics

• Body hair! Not like a full body rug (unless you really think one of my requested characters would have a full body rug, I'll trust your judgement), but enough that it doesn't look like the character waxes everything. This goes for both male and female characters.

Art DNW:
• Exaggerated size difference. In my size gap pairings, the canon size difference is plenty!

• Drastic change from canon appearance (I mean things like species or gender swaps. Realistically aging characters up, giving them a hair cut or glasses to show the passage of time, or similar small changes are totally fine. I just want to still be able to tell who the characters are.)

• Setting change AU


DNW:
• Permanent character death (temporary character death, mentions of character death that happened in canon, believing a character to be dead or dying for part of the fic, and killing original or villain characters is all fine)

• Unrequested non-canon het. Adding unrequested pairings to the background is fine as long as they are either canon, M/M or F/F.

• Noncon. (I would not be okay with one half of my ship raping the other half, but I would be okay with both halves of my ship being forced to have sex by circumstance or a third party, so something like sex pollen or aliens made them do it is totally fine)

• Daddy kink/infantilization/ageplay

• Smut involving underage characters

• Mundane/Modern AU

• Trans or asexual headcanons

• Name calling or humiliation in a sexual context (Azula/Ty Lee is the exception)

Mako/Wu
If you had told me after the first couple seasons of ATLOK that by the end Mako would be one of my favorite characters, I never would have believed you. It turns out all I needed was a guy to ship him with! I like Mako/Wu as sort of an oddball opposites attract type ship that from the outside looks like it shouldn't work, but they complete each other in ways that might not seem obvious at first.

The basic idea here is that as a prince, Wu probably has some sort of arranged political betrothal situation happening. In order to get out of it he has to marry someone else first. I would like either established relationship or mutual pining for this.

I know the comics established that homophobia is a thing in the avatar world, but lets ignore that!

♥ Media Have Strong Reaction to Marriage
♥ Secret marriage becoming public knowledge turns out to be for the best
Wu is a prince, so even after abdication he is likely to end up in the tabloids and something as big as marrying a mysterious former pro-bender turned bodyguard is sure to cause a stir.
Maybe they are anticipating a bad reaction from the press so they keep their marriage a secret, but are relieved when they are finally found out and the reaction is more positive than they anticipated and they no longer have to live with the stress of pretending to not be married. For art, maybe a newspaper picture?

♥ Woke Up Married After A Drunk Night
This is just a really fun trope, I think it is pretty self-explanatory. For art, maybe one of them looking at their ring or marriage related paperwork with a panicked expression while the other is still asleep in the bed.

♥ Marriage to Seal Abdication of Power
Wu is having difficulty abdicating the throne, so he comes up with the plan to make himself ineligible for the throne instead. Marrying a firebender (or peasant, or united republic citizen, whatever direction you decide to go with is fine) should do the trick.

♥ Accidental Marriage Causes Scandal
They didn't actually mean to get married, but they can't say they are sorry it happened. Unfortunately the media and earth kingdom nobility feel robbed of their chance at attending a royal (or former-royal) wedding. This is another one where a newspaper or tabloid picture would be great.

Voltron Legendary Defender
Keith/Shiro
It is up to you if you would rather ignore Shiro's epilogue wedding (or even all of season 8, you will get no complaints from me if you want to just pretend that season never happened) or let Keith be Shiro's second husband. If you do keep the epilogue, please have Shiro and Curtis divorced before the start of the fic.

If taking an epilogue what epilogue (or season 8 what season 8) approach, I love it when these two idiots have been pining forever until something finally kicks them into action or they realize they are basically dating already.

If taking the entire series into account and going with a time skip to a time after Shiro's divorce, I strongly prefer if they have remained friends and Keith has had a life that wasn't just pining miserably and virginally after an oblivious married Shiro. I really hate the trend where they either don't speak for years, or Keith never dates. Let him have a couple failed relationships under his belt too.

I'm totally fine with either approach, they are different dynamics, but both dynamics are good.

For art, I think Keith's future look was the only thing I liked about the epilogue. The longer hair with a ponytail was great.

Freeforms:
♥ Accidental Marriage due to Misunderstanding the Norms of Another Culture
While on a visit to another planet, they accidentally partake in an alien marriage ritual. I would love a mutual pining version of this, but established relationship would also be great. By the end of the fic I would prefer for them to decide to stay married.

♥ Aliens Make Them Get Married
Maybe marriage is a mark of adulthood in their society, maybe they are old fashioned and scandalized that Shiro and Keith sleep in the same room, maybe there is some other reason, but Shiro and Keith have to get married in order to stay on the planet for something very important.

♥ Aliens Think They're Married
Due to a misunderstanding, Aliens think they are married and it is easier or more fun to just go with it. Mutual pining or established relationship would be great.

Mpreg could be either a normal part of Galra biology, or a unique thing caused by Shiro's clone body (or a combination of the two.) Either way, they weren't expecting it to happen, so their eventual plans for marriage have been bumped up a bit. If going with mpreg being unheard of, Shiro's clone body makes the most sense as the reason. For wedding night conception, maybe pregnancy is a common result of Galra bonding ceremonies. It could be fun if they didn't know it was possible, or if they knew and were taking precautions, but those precautions failed.

For art, I would like pictures of the non-pregnant character taking care of the pregnant character (back or foot rubs, bringing him food, attending a prenatal appointment together, or whatever else you can think of) or paying special, loving attention to the baby bump or doing tasks to prepare for the baby like painting the nursery or putting the crib together.

Please dont feminize the pregnant character through things like breast growth or frilly maternity clothes. They should still look like men.

♥ Chastity Device Only Unlocks upon Marriage to Person Who Accidentally Applied It
They wanted to try something and realized they weren't really into it, and now the damn thing won't come off. They should've read the fine print.

♥ Insatiable Newlyweds
They fuckin'
For art, this would be the perfect excuse to draw porn! Loving, sappy facial expressions while going to pound town. Neck or thigh kissing during foreplay. Face to face sex while looking into eachother's eyes. The main thing I want is for them to look hopelessly in love.

♥ Marriage to cure sex pollen
I'm picturing this as a situation where the sex pollen can only be cured by having sex with your spouse, but the person affected isn't married, so the other has to marry them first before they can even take the edge off.

♥ married as cover but unexpectedly have to consummate it in ritual
"Aliens made them do it" is a fantastic trope.

♥ Marrying for Spousal Privilege
After getting sick of a long distance relationship, they decide to get married so that they can live together. Maybe Shiro wants to join the BoM but only Galra or their family can join (and marriage certainly qualifies) or maybe Keith wants to stay on the Atlas with Shiro, but the garrison will only allow it if they are married.

♥ Need to Marry to Keep/Adopt Child
♥ Required to get married first in order to adopt a child
One of them finds an orphaned baby or toddler on a mission and has to take care of them for a little while and ends up getting attached. They want to adopt the child but the planet the child is from requires all adopted children to have two married parents. Single parents or two unmarried parents don't qualify. I would prefer for the kid to be human, Galra, or Altean (or some combo of those three, a half-galra like Keith would be great)

For art, if you are going with a Galra child, I prefer the Galra who look like Krolia, not fuzzy, no huge bat ears, no tail. A very casual wedding ceremony or courthouse wedding with the child present, or just the two of them spending time with the baby/kid, maybe one of them returning from a mission and nervously introducing the kid to the other.

♥ People Stuck in Time Loop Get Married and then Time Loop Ends Unexpectedly
They are stuck in a time loop and after a while become bored and start taking advantage of the lack of long term consequences to do things they might otherwise spend a little longer thinking through. After they get married (I'm picturing like a drunken vegas wedding here) the time loop unexpectedly ends.

♥ Supposedly Fake Marriage Is Accidentally Real
Their fake marriage was a little too convincing, convincing enough to become legally binding. Whoops.

♥ Truth serum induces unexpected proposal
One of them is captured and given a truth serum that makes him say whatever comes into his head, when the other arrives to rescue him, he proposes.

Krolia/Romelle
These aliens are hot and I want them to bang.

With that out of the way, I really would be happy with any rating, so don't feel like you have to make them bang, if they are married it is implied and I can use my imagination 😉.

I love the idea of Romelle being the one to pursue Krolia, with Krolia maybe being unsure at first about the age gap and worried about what Keith would think. After all, Romelle is about her son's age and that might be weird.

I would prefer for none of the reactions to be overwhelmingly negative. More in the neutral and confused, to positive and amused range of reactions.

♥ A Game Of 'Fuck Marry Kill' Somehow Becomes Legally Binding
This freeform looked like so much fun that I had to request it at least once. I ask that the "kill" be an antagonist (feel free to take one from the series or make one up) and the "fuck" be another woman (Acxa comes to mind first, but I'm not picky)

I enjoy this pairing in a bunch of different ways. I like it when they have worked through their issues and could almost be considered functional, I also like it when they are more antagonistic or possessive, you really can't go wrong.
