● All the nasty details. Whether it's an injury, an illness, something pregnancy related, sex, etc. Don't be afraid to make it gross. My one exception is please no poop or vomit in a sexy context (in an illness or infant-care related context it's fine.) It's also completely fine to gloss over things if it's easier for you or you don't want to squick yourself, just don't feel like you need to hold back for my benefit because I like the gross stuff.

● Love. Let the couples I requested be gross in a completely different way, maybe even despite themselves. Give me a heart-boner.

● I really like newly established couples still figuring things out together and friends-to-lovers.

● World building. Telling me something is happening is great, but telling me why it's happening is even better.

● For any pregnancy related fic, I would absolutely love it if any fic that includes the birth also includes a bit about the immediate post-partum period. I love reading about the physical recovery and adapting to life with a baby.

● Humor, not like crackfic, but in that a lot of the things I like are pretty ridiculous and it's totally fine if the characters notice this as well. Having a sense of humor (however dark) about what happens is a big plus.

● Marriage, especially the in-universe equivalent of "woke up married in Vegas" or marriage that seems quick and poorly thought through from the outside but that the characters 100% believe is a great idea. (Things like getting married very early in the relationship, or while young, or while visibly pregnant)

● AU that adds to the canon universe without really changing the setting. Things like omegaverse and soulmate AU, or adding a little magic to the background of an otherwise mundane canon. I don't like it when huge things are changed, like a soulmate AU where the characters met in a completely different way if the way they met in canon is an important part of their plot, or an omegaverse world where the character you have made an omega is fighting against oppression now, or suddenly everyone's a wizard, but smaller things weaved into the canon universe are a lot of fun.

● Sickfic, even serious long term illness as long as recovery from the illness seems likely by the end of the fic. No hopeless endings. Minor illness is also fine, of course.

Maybe they got caught together before their relationship was supposed to be public, maybe they eloped, maybe they got caught having sex or even just making out somewhere a little too public, maybe one of them has his nudes get leaked accidentally, maybe a tabloid photographer spots a baby bump before they were prepared to share the news. I want them to be on the same side of whatever scandal has cropped up.

● If it's not a dnw you can probably convince me I like it.

● I don't have any strontg top/bottom preferences for smut, but if you do anything D/s related I do prefer a subby Otabek.

Prompts

● Injury recovery fic. One of them gets hurt at a competition or at practice and has to sit out the rest of the season and deal with the disappointment and frustration that comes with that.

● Along the same lines, an injury off the ice. Maybe a car or motorcycle accident (The guilt if the one driving wasn't the one more hurt could be great) or just a stupid thing like tripping and falling down a set of stairs.

● Long distance relationship, skype, texting, phone calls, letters, media speculation when they're seen together. Maybe they work out a way toward the end to spend more time physically together.

● One or both retires and has to figure out what to do next. I feel like this would be especially hard for Yuri.

● The world is just slightly magical. Nothing either of them have any control over or even much knowledge about, but that doesn't stop it from affecting them. It might be a semi-natural phenomenon like a magical hot spring or pollen from a special flower, or it might be something more direct like a curse or blessing put on one or both of them by a fan. It might result in something like a time loop (maybe ending in confession?) mpreg, temporary body swap, sex pollen, effects similar to truth serum, etc. Maybe normally very quiet and stoic Otabek suddenly can't stop talking no matter how hard he tries.

● In-universe RPF. Maybe one of them finds and reads it, then gets the wild idea to start writing some as a joke and it gets out of hand. The weirder the better, imagine that figure skating RPF in-universe is like the hockey RPF in our universe.

● Woke up married after a wild night. I would especially like it if they are still super young and decide to stick with it anyway.

● I like incorporating more people from the cast. Maybe they get stranded together...with JJ. Maybe Yuri is hurt in an accident and Mila looks after him until Otabek can arrive to take over, maybe Yuri strikes up a friendship with Guang Hong because Otabek and Leo have been hanging out a lot. Maybe Yuri and Phichit end up in some kind of social media competition. Maybe Otabek always looked up to Chris as another skater who had to find his own way in the sport. Maybe the only way Yuri can get permission to do something is to take Georgi along to supervise. Anything you can think of is great, I genuinely love every character.

● Any prompt from any previous letter

● Death of requested characters or their children (past miscarriage is fine, even if it's a fully detailed flashback.)

● Direct mentions of the pregnant character having a vagina. (Vaginal sex, impregnantion, birth, etc) It's okay to just leave his pants on and not mention it at all or be vague about how the birth will happen or have him have a c-section.


Potential causes of pregnancy

Omegaverse
This is going to be a long section because omegaverse is a collection of tropes that vary a lot from fic to fic. Some of those tropes I like and some I don't.

Things I like:
• Heats and ruts (I prefer the turbo-horny but still able to think clearly version over the mindless fuck-machine version)

• Omega/Omega or Beta/Omega pairings

• Mpreg

• Fisting as a substitute for a knot for a character who doesn't have one.

• Anal sex with no prep necessary

• Omega or beta partner struggling to keep up with their partner's heat.

Things I don't like:
• Animalistic behavior. Things like snuffling and chirping, and thinking of other people as "packmates." The more human their behavior and world view is the better.

• Societal oppression of omegas (or betas or alphas) especially if done in ways that are clearly just sexism with the serial numbers filed off.

• Omegas as biologically automatically more nurturing or subservient to alphas. Alphas having an "alpha voice" that they can use to control others.

• Use of animal terms for a baby or pregnancy, like pup, kit, litter.

If I didn't mention it specifically, I probably feel very neutral about it. (Scent, biting, pair bonding, and nesting fit here. There are probably also things I'm not thinking of)

Magic
I can picture a scenario where a fan of one of them gifts a magic-imbued object that will grant them their deepest wish and it turns out his deepest wish was a family with his boyfriend/husband, or maybe a group of fans of a rival get together to curse one of them to get him out of the season and one of them gets cold feet and adds "but without hurting him" and that certainly is one way to get him out of a season without hurting him. Maybe the hot springs are magic. Maybe another m/m couple had a baby under mysterious circumstances a few years ago and now they want to try to replicate that. Maybe one of them or someone close to him starts dabbling in magic without really knowing what they're doing. I want them to still be skaters (or retired skaters) with the events of canon unchanged, just add magic on top of that. It can be anywhere from "Everyone knows about magic and some people can control it pretty well" to "There is exactly one magical place/item on the planet and nobody will believe you."

It just happens sometimes
For when you don't want to explain it. It can be common or rare, maybe there's a specific mpreg gene, or maybe any guy can get pregnant but it usually takes a lot of work to make it happen. However you want to write it, I'll like it.

Birth

Ass Birth
Honestly, just treat it like a vaginal birth if this is what you decide to go with, unless you have ideas for how it could go differently. I can suspend disbelief just fine in this regard. The booterus is a gift and I'm not going to question it's power.

I'm fine with things going smoothly or badly, as long as the baby and parents are still alive at the end of the fic. Don't be afraid of grossing me out, I'm not sure if it can be done. I'm fine with any level of ease, from out on the first push after a short labor, to long hours of labor and pushing followed by tearing and a long recovery.

Maybe he has been planning a surgical birth is stuck outside of a hospital and has to have the baby naturally, and well, this is the only exit. I'm fine with ass birth being the normal and expected way for a pregnant man to do things, and also for pregnant men to be practically unheard of so there is no standard practice in place.

I'm also fine with a planned ass birth turning into an emergency C-section.

Surgical Birth
This might be planned from the start, or it could be an emergency.

Maybe it is a situation where men can't normally get pregnant, therefore nobody is sure if they will be able to give birth safely or not (or are positive they cannot.)

If male pregnancy is normal in universe, I would prefer for the fic to say why he has to have a c-section (even "he wants to" is a good enough reason, but breech presentation is a pretty easy explanation for why there would be a c-section and no additional complications if you're looking for a reason) because I have a tough time suspending disbelief that a species where the men can get pregnant but not give birth naturally would survive long enough to invent the c-section.

If it is abnormal in universe, or the character has already been having complications, there is no need to explain.

Intentionally Vague Birth
This might mean setting the fic entirely in the earlier part of the pregnancy, or skipping straight from first contraction to baby snuggles, or it could mean having someone in the waiting room as the point of view character. If you don't want to get into it, you don't have to! Maybe the fic is one where the baby is already born and the details of the birth are left out entirely.

Could be that mpreg is rare enough to not be something he would suspect, or it could be that it's common but he's in some very heavy denial until he can't be anymore.

A gave birth to first child so B gets to have second
It's only fair, right?

Character swore to never get pregnant again after past miscarriage but has happier ending this time

Character undecided about staying pregnant has miscarriage scare and just wants baby to be okay

My tags mostly fall into three categories, so I’ll try to organize my likes accordingly.
General
• Mutual support. I love it when they’re on the same side when tackling whatever issue comes up. I definitely like “Otayuri vs the problem” far better than “Otabek and Yuri vs each other” for conflict within the fic.

• I like all stages of their relationship, from getting together to being married for 50 years.

• Happy or at least hopeful endings.

• Fic set in the canon universe, or an AU that is very close to the canon universe (like they’re still skaters or former skaters and omegaverse is a thing, or the world is slightly magical, or soulmates are a thing)

Sex
• Sweet sappy vanilla lovemaking

• Similar experience levels. I like it better when either they’re each other’s first, or they’ve both had other partners and tried similar things before than when one is experienced and teaching the other.

• Switching. I’m happy to read either one topping or bottoming.

• Kink exploration, especially if it’s new for both of them. If you go for anything with D/s vibes I prefer a subby Otabek.

• For omegaverse, I like omega/omega or beta/omega couples, and prefer for the omega’s external anatomy to look the same as a beta's.

• Non-penetrative sex. There’s no need to skip straight to anal every time when so many other things are also fun. Frottage, handjobs, oral, intercrural, etc. Especially for first times, or if they’re in a place where they don’t have access to lube.

• I’m happy to read them at any (post-canon) age, from right after they leave the ice in wttm to decades past retirement after they put their grandkids to bed.

Mpreg

• I’m happy for either of them to be the one that is or was pregnant.

• Omegaverse and non-omegaverse mpreg are both great. You don’t even have to explain it if you don’t want to.

• Pregnancy that’s a surprise, either because they thought they were being careful, or because it’s really rare, or because they’ve been trying to conceive forever and had given up hope of it actually happening.

• Touching the belly. It is very important that the belly is touched. Even if they just found out and it’s still flat. Touching the belly is vital to my id.

• Switching, whatever that means to you. It might mean Otabek is pregnant with their second because Yuri had the first, or it might mean whichever one is pregnant is also topping during sex. Maybe they’re both omegas and the non-pregnant one is going through his heat.

• Fan and social media reactions to the news.

• Get as detailed as you want about any part of pregnant or postpartum life. You can’t gross me out. You can center the entire fic around vomiting and constipation, or dealing with hemorrhoids and I’ll be cool with it.

• You don’t have to talk about it at all, but it throws me out a little when all pregnant men have to have c-sections and can’t lactate. You don’t have to write assbirth and breastfeeding if you don’t want to, but the c-section should be needed for this guy specifically, not all guys, and formula feeding should either be a choice that was made, or something they do after trying and failing to breastfeed. Unless you’ve worldbuilt it in a way where mpreg is usually not possible at all and some magic happened. It’s also fine to just not mention it, especially if the fic is set in the early part of the pregnancy. I just don’t like thinking about how humanity managed to survive throughout history when men can get pregnant but not give birth naturally or feed their babies.


Major Character Injury

• Broken limbs, amputation, spinal injuries, facial trauma, eye injuries (prefer one over both).

• Very serious injuries where a full recovery isn’t going to be possible and adapting to a new normal.

• Less serious injuries that would have probably healed fine if he had gotten help in time, but now it won’t. Maybe a hidden injury because he wanted to compete instead of resting, or maybe it happened while stranded and it took ages to be found.

• Infection, fever, delirium.

• Making tough choices, either on their own behalf, or on behalf of the other who is unconscious. Choices like sacrificing a limb to save his life, or go through a risky surgery that might improve function in a damaged limb but could also make it worse.

• Supportive caretaking. Helping as much as is welcome without pushing. Being there for each other.

It's also completely fine to gloss over things if it's easier for you or you don't want to squick yourself, just don't feel like you need to hold back for my benefit because I like the gross stuff.
● Love. Let the couples I requested be gross in a completely different way, maybe even despite themselves. Give me a heart-boner.

They can both be injured with one more seriously injured than the other, or it can happen while they're apart and the uninjured one rushes to the injured one to take care of him. I mostly want loving caretaking to happen.

This tag is for if you decide to give him some hope of a full recovery! It's still very serious and there's high odds he won't fully recover, but hey, it could happen.

- Otabek has experienced a heat before, which means he knows just what Yuri needs when he has his first heat. (or the other way around and Otabek is a very late bloomer)

- The first time their heats sync up.

- They're ready to start their family, but things don't go according to plan when the wrong one gets pregnant. Which one is the wrong one and why is up to you. I just love the idea of "Wait! Not like that!" where they're immediately happy about the baby because it's something they've been wanting, but it still ruins their plans a bit. You could also take it in an angstier direction if the one who is pregnant is the wrong one because he has a history of miscarriage and he swore he would never put himself through that again (although I would want it to work out better for him this time around)

- They're heat buddies. They plan visits to each other a couple times a year, timed to coincide with the other's heat so they can get through it with someone they trust. They're not together romantically, but they are mutually pining and would like to be. Things are going fine until one of them's birth control fails.

• Pregnancy that is unusual in-universe. Maybe it's omegaverse and male omegas are uncommon, maybe they encountered some magic, maybe male pregnancy is something that is known to happen but just very rare to the point where most people will never know a pregnant man. Coming up with ways to tell friends and family, feeling weird about it at first (not emasculated, just kind of mind blown that this is really a thing that is happening to them) coming around to being happy about it at some point before or even immediately after birth.

• Babies are great. I especially like tiny babies, like newborn-3 months.

• Exhausted new parents, adjusting to life with a baby.

• Humor. Not like crackfic, but this can be a pretty ridiculous situation, so it's fine to lean into that and embrace it.

• Love, fluff, feelings. Quiet domesticity in the midst of whatever is going on in the world.

• Parents continuing their career while pregnant or parenting (or planning to continue it after they recover for the pregnant parent)

• Post-canon fic. Anywhere from immediately post-canon (things got heated after Welcome to the Madness and ...whoops?) to post-retirement when they're both in their late 20's or 30's and actually doing this on purpose.

• Shotgun weddings

• Sequels! If you've written another work in the same universe that doesn't fully revolve around a dnw and you want to write a sequel or prequel for my request, that's great! If the original wasn't for me, then it is now. If the original was for me, then I definitely want more. It can be a sequel to something that isn't on theme, like a getting together fic, or even a fic about a different ship where they were in the background.

• If you want to combine requests and have a baby centric fic that starts during pregnancy or has flashbacks to the pregnancy, or a pregnancy-focused fic that continues past birth, or art that draws inspiration more from the tags I picked for fic, that's totally fine. I only split the requests up so every tag match up would make sense and because only requesting one pairing gave me plenty of space to do that.

• Men with vaginas. (I'm totally fine with a guy leaving his pants on through the entire fic and then having a surgical or glossed over birth if you are grossed out by the concept of assbabies.)

• Abortion (past abortion or considering abortion is fine). Also anti-abortion rhetoric.

• Miscarriage as the only pregnancy in the fic. Miscarrying then carrying another baby to term is fine. Vanishing twin is fine. The character thinking they miscarried when they didn't is fine.

• Death of requested characters or their children.

• Explicitly named sexuality other than gay or bi for requested characters.

• Unrequested non-canon het. A past het one night stand as an explanation for where the baby came from is fine.

• Break ups, infidelity, or suspicion of infidelity.

• Treating one of them like "the girl" in the relationship. This includes things like calling him "mom"

• Using animal terms to refer to a pregnancy or baby (pup, kit, litter, etc.) Joking about having a litter once or twice as a response to having multiples is fine, just don't make "litter" the normal term for any pregnancy.

• Ageplay, daddy kink, mommy kink.

• Sad or hopeless endings.

• Setting or species change AU. Working things like a little bit of magic into the canon setting is fine. I basically still want them to be ice skaters or former ice skaters who met in the same way and are humans who live on earth. You can add more on top of that, like omegaverse, or soulmates, or magic hot springs, or fans who get together to cast a curse or blessing on them, as long as those things don't change.

• The nickname "kitten" for Yuri. Anyone other than Victor or any of the Japanese characters calling Yuri "Yurio"

• Breast growth larger than what you might expect to see on a chubby guy.


Potential causes of pregnancy

Omegaverse
This is going to be a long section because omegaverse is a collection of tropes that vary a lot from fic to fic. Some of those tropes I like and some I don't.

Things I like:
• Heats and ruts (I prefer the turbo-horny but still able to think clearly version over the mindless fuck-machine version)

• Omega/Omega or Beta/Omega pairings

• Mpreg

• Fisting as a substitute for a knot for a character who doesn't have one.

• Anal sex with no prep necessary

• Omega or beta partner struggling to keep up with their partner's heat.

Things I don't like:
• Animalistic behavior. Things like snuffling and chirping, and thinking of other people as "packmates." The more human their behavior and world view is the better.

• Societal oppression of omegas (or betas or alphas) especially if done in ways that are clearly just sexism with the serial numbers filed off.

• Omegas as biologically automatically more nurturing or subservient to alphas. Alphas having an "alpha voice" that they can use to control others.

• Use of animal terms for a baby or pregnancy, like pup, kit, litter.

If I didn't mention it specifically, I probably feel very neutral about it. (Scent, biting, pair bonding, and nesting fit here. There are probably also things I'm not thinking of)

Magic
I can picture a scenario where a fan of one of them gifts a magic-imbued object that will grant them their deepest wish and it turns out his deepest wish was a family with his boyfriend/husband, or maybe a group of fans of a rival get together to curse one of them to get him out of the season and one of them gets cold feet and adds "but without hurting him" and that certainly is one way to get him out of a season without hurting him. Maybe the hot springs are magic. Maybe another m/m couple had a baby under mysterious circumstances a few years ago and now they want to try to replicate that. Maybe one of them or someone close to him starts dabbling in magic without really knowing what they're doing. I want them to still be skaters (or retired skaters) with the events of canon unchanged, just add magic on top of that. It can be anywhere from "Everyone knows about magic and some people can control it pretty well" to "There is exactly one magical place/item on the planet and nobody will believe you."

It just happens sometimes
For when you don't want to explain it. It can be common or rare, maybe there's a specific mpreg gene, or maybe any guy can get pregnant but it usually takes a lot of work to make it happen. However you want to write it, I'll like it.

Birth

Ass Birth
Honestly, just treat it like a vaginal birth if this is what you decide to go with, unless you have ideas for how it could go differently. I can suspend disbelief just fine in this regard. The booterus is a gift and I'm not going to question it's power.

I'm fine with things going smoothly or badly, as long as the baby and parents are still alive at the end of the fic. Don't be afraid of grossing me out, I'm not sure if it can be done. I'm fine with any level of ease, from out on the first push after a short labor, to long hours of labor and pushing followed by tearing and a long recovery.

Maybe he has been planning a surgical birth is stuck outside of a hospital and has to have the baby naturally, and well, this is the only exit. I'm fine with ass birth being the normal and expected way for a pregnant man to do things, and also for pregnant men to be practically unheard of so there is no standard practice in place.

I'm also fine with a planned ass birth turning into an emergency C-section.

Surgical Birth
This might be planned from the start, or it could be an emergency.

Maybe it is a situation where men can't normally get pregnant, therefore nobody is sure if they will be able to give birth safely or not (or are positive they cannot.)

If male pregnancy is normal in universe, I would prefer for the fic to say why he has to have a c-section (even "he wants to" is a good enough reason, but breech presentation is a pretty easy explanation for why there would be a c-section and no additional complications if you're looking for a reason) because I have a tough time suspending disbelief that a species where the men can get pregnant but not give birth naturally would survive long enough to invent the c-section.

If it is abnormal in universe, or the character has already been having complications, there is no need to explain.

Intentionally Vague Birth
This might mean setting the fic entirely in the earlier part of the pregnancy, or skipping straight from first contraction to baby snuggles, or it could mean having someone in the waiting room as the point of view character. If you don't want to get into it, you don't have to! Maybe the fic is one where the baby is already born and the details of the birth are left out entirely.

I'm not super familiar with comics canon, you can include it if you want to, but I don't expect you to.

● Slowburn, Wu goes away for a while to do the work needed to abdicate the throne and Mako realizes just how much he has grown on him and is appalled to realize that he actually misses him.

● Wu has some kind of arranged marriage deal and it's almost time for it to happen. My preference for his betrothed is that she is a nice enough girl, but Wu has just realized he is very gay. If she is an actual character in the fic and not just a concept, it would be great if she wasn't really into the whole arranged marriage thing either. Maybe she has a girlfriend? The only way to get out of it is to already be married. Mako volunteers (or gets roped into it)

● The opening of the third spirit portal changes the balance of things in ways that aren't immediately obvious, like introducing omegaverse into the world. The world tries to adjust to the sudden onset of heats, ruts, and the first male pregnancies with nobody really knowing what is going on or why. Omegaverse in a world where it's new to everyone and none of the stereotypes are really set in place yet, the basic designations may not even have names.

● Another slowburn, coming to terms with feelings on sexuality, secret relationship becoming public. I like gay Wu and bi Mako, but I'm not super firm on that as long at they are both one or the other. For this prompt/fandom specifically, I'm fine with one or both trying to sleep with a woman as long as it fades to black before penetration and doesn't end in like, m/m/f poly or a long term relationship before coming out and getting together.

Whatever type of relationship they have, if they aren't on the same page about it I would like for them to at least be in the same book. ● When they were kids, they agreed that if they were both still single at 30 they would get married. Now it's time to go through with that arrangement.

● They've actually been married for years. When they were young (like, barely old enough to legally go through with it) they got married as a joke and didn't realize it was actually legally binding. Maybe they sent in annulment papers that got lost in the mail, maybe they intended to never register it but some helpful person turned the paperwork in for them, maybe they were actually underage and lied on the application thinking it wouldn't go through and then never actually checked.

● Omegaverse AU. Cherry has been going to Joe for help with his heats for years, but they never really talk about it. They finally have to when Cherry accidentally gets pregnant. (I'm also fine with the reverse!)

● Joe has a kid from a one night stand, and the kid's mom drops the baby on him and disappears. He goes to Cherry for help and neither of them has the first clue what to do with a baby (If anything, Cherry is worse at it) but they figure it out together.

● Post-canon, Cherry feels like he has lost his edge. He worries that Adam is right and he really is boring. I'm just picturing him symbolically putting his piercings back in and doing some crazy shit on a skateboard. Joe is there to make sure he doesn't die.

● Langa teaches Reki how to snowboard

● One of them has a serious injury while skating, and has to convince the other that skating isn't the only reason they're close and they'll be okay even if he has to take a break for a while.

He can be 18 (or older) coincidentally because that's just when the fic happens to take place, but no birthday countdowns or "when you're older we can get together" or anything like that please.

● Injury recovery fic. One of them gets hurt at a competition or at practice and has to sit out the rest of the season and deal with the disappointment and frustration that comes with that.

● Along the same lines, an injury off the ice. Maybe a car or motorcycle accident (The guilt if the one driving wasn't the one more hurt could be great) or just a stupid thing like tripping and falling down a set of stairs.
