Dear creator, thank you for checking out my letter! It's pretty long, but I tried to break it up to make it easy to skip the things that aren't relevant. All requests are for Otabek/Yuri from Yuri on Ice, and I don't have a preference for which one is or was pregnant.

Likes

• Incorporating pregnancy into the worldbuilding somehow.

• Switching, letting the pregnant person top.

• Pregnancy that comes as a huge surprise, especially if they had no idea it was a thing that was even possible, or they knew it was technically possible but the odds were very low.

• In the case of baby acquisition, I also like it when that's a surprise. They don't know they're about to raise a kid until one is dropped in their laps.

• Smut incorporating any combination of body worship, difficulty positioning, belly loving, and just fluffy, lovey heart eyes. Kissing during sex.

• Established but still pretty new relationships, pregnancy or baby acquisition coming at an inconvenient time but making it work anyway.

• Happy endings. Make the beginning and middle as rocky as you want, but at the end I want two happy parents and a healthy baby (whether that baby is in or out of the womb is up to you)

• All the gross details. I promise, where pregnancy, birth, postpartum recovery, and infant care is concerned you couldn't squick me if you tried.

• Belly. Rub the belly, touch the belly, talk to the belly, kiss the belly. All bellies welcome, from the still flat but wow there's a baby in there belly, to the overdue with twins belly. There are no bad bellies. I cannot stress this enough: belly good.

• Pregnancy that is unusual in-universe. Maybe it's omegaverse and male omegas are uncommon, maybe they encountered some magic, maybe male pregnancy is something that is known to happen but just very rare to the point where most people will never know a pregnant man. Coming up with ways to tell friends and family, feeling weird about it at first (not emasculated, just kind of mind blown that this is really a thing that is happening to them) coming around to being happy about it at some point before or even immediately after birth.

• Babies are great. I especially like tiny babies, like newborn-3 months.

• Exhausted new parents, adjusting to life with a baby.

• Humor. Not like crackfic, but this can be a pretty ridiculous situation, so it's fine to lean into that and embrace it.

• Love, fluff, feelings. Quiet domesticity in the midst of whatever is going on in the world.

• Parents continuing their career while pregnant or parenting (or planning to continue it after they recover for the pregnant parent)

• Post-canon fic. Anywhere from immediately post-canon (things got heated after Welcome to the Madness and ...whoops?) to post-retirement when they're both in their late 20's or 30's and actually doing this on purpose.

• Shotgun weddings

• If you want to combine requests and have a baby centric fic that starts during pregnancy or has flashbacks to the pregnancy, or a pregnancy-focused fic that continues past birth, or art that draws inspiration more from the tags I picked for fic, that's totally fine. I only split the requests up so every tag match up would make sense and because only requesting one pairing gave me plenty of space to do that.

● Art drawn in your own style or a style similar to the show

● Characters having fun

● Expressive faces and body language

● Any rating from G to porn

● Art that looks like it comes from an in-universe publication like a newspaper or tabloid

● For romantic or smutty art, I really like neck and thigh kisses.

● For pregnancy related art, I like belly. Touch the belly. Especially that "just starting to show" belly. Big belly is great, but I really like the little belly too.

● Cuddles. Either cuddling each other, or cuddling their baby.

● Doing everyday tasks while carrying the baby around in a sling or carrier

● For art taking place more than a year or so into the future, Yuri growing enough to be taller than Otabek.

● Art that looks like a social media post.

DNW

• Men with vaginas. (I'm totally fine with a guy leaving his pants on through the entire fic and then having a surgical or glossed over birth if you are grossed out by the concept of assbabies.)

• Abortion (past abortion or considering abortion is fine). Also anti-abortion rhetoric.

• Miscarriage as the only pregnancy in the fic. Miscarrying then carrying another baby to term is fine. Vanishing twin is fine. The character thinking they miscarried when they didn't is fine.

• Death of requested characters or their children.

• Explicitly named sexuality other than gay or bi for requested characters.

• Unrequested non-canon het. A past het one night stand as an explanation for where the baby came from is fine.

• Break ups, infidelity, or suspicion of infidelity.

• Treating one of them like "the girl" in the relationship. This includes things like calling him "mom"

• Using animal terms to refer to a pregnancy or baby (pup, kit, litter, etc.) Joking about having a litter once or twice as a response to having multiples is fine, just don't make "litter" the normal term for any pregnancy.

• Ageplay, daddy kink, mommy kink.

• Sad or hopeless endings.

• Setting or species change AU. Working things like a little bit of magic into the canon setting is fine. I basically still want them to be ice skaters or former ice skaters who met in the same way and are humans who live on earth. You can add more on top of that, like omegaverse, or soulmates, or magic hot springs, or fans who get together to cast a curse or blessing on them, as long as those things don't change.

• The nickname "kitten" for Yuri. Anyone other than Victor or any of the Japanese characters calling Yuri "Yurio"

• Ahegao

• Chibis

• Breast growth larger than what you might expect to see on a chubby guy.


Potential causes of pregnancy

Omegaverse
This is going to be a long section because omegaverse is a collection of tropes that vary a lot from fic to fic. Some of those tropes I like and some I don't.

Things I like:
• Heats and ruts (I prefer the turbo-horny but still able to think clearly version over the mindless fuck-machine version)

• Omega/Omega or Beta/Omega pairings

• Mpreg

• Fisting as a substitute for a knot for a character who doesn't have one.

• Anal sex with no prep necessary

• Omega or beta partner struggling to keep up with their partner's heat.

Things I don't like:
• Animalistic behavior. Things like snuffling and chirping, and thinking of other people as "packmates." The more human their behavior and world view is the better.

• Societal oppression of omegas (or betas or alphas) especially if done in ways that are clearly just sexism with the serial numbers filed off.

• Omegas as biologically automatically more nurturing or subservient to alphas. Alphas having an "alpha voice" that they can use to control others.

• Use of animal terms for a baby or pregnancy, like pup, kit, litter.

If I didn't mention it specifically, I probably feel very neutral about it. (Scent, biting, pair bonding, and nesting fit here. There are probably also things I'm not thinking of)

Magic
I'd rather magic not be a huge world-changing thing. More like a difficult to define in universe concept that the characters don't have much control over or knowledge about. Something like having sex in a magical hot spring, or a curse/blessing put on them by a fan might work.

It just happens sometimes
For when you don't want to explain it. It can be common or rare, maybe there's a specific mpreg gene, or maybe any guy can get pregnant but it usually takes a lot of work to make it happen. However you want to write it, I'll like it.

Birth

Ass Birth
Honestly, just treat it like a vaginal birth if this is what you decide to go with, unless you have ideas for how it could go differently. I can suspend disbelief just fine in this regard. The booterus is a gift and I'm not going to question it's power.

I'm fine with things going smoothly or badly, as long as the baby and parents are still alive at the end of the fic. Don't be afraid of grossing me out, I'm not sure if it can be done. I'm fine with any level of ease, from out on the first push after a short labor, to long hours of labor and pushing followed by tearing and a long recovery.

Maybe he has been planning a surgical birth is stuck outside of a hospital and has to have the baby naturally, and well, this is the only exit. I'm fine with ass birth being the normal and expected way for a pregnant man to do things, and also for pregnant men to be practically unheard of so there is no standard practice in place.

I'm also fine with a planned ass birth turning into an emergency C-section.

Surgical Birth
This might be planned from the start, or it could be an emergency.

Maybe it is a situation where men can't normally get pregnant, therefore nobody is sure if they will be able to give birth safely or not (or are positive they cannot.)

If male pregnancy is normal in universe, I would prefer for the fic to say why he has to have a c-section (even "he wants to" is a good enough reason, but breech presentation is a pretty easy explanation for why there would be a c-section and no additional complications if you're looking for a reason) because I have a tough time suspending disbelief that a species where the men can get pregnant but not give birth naturally would survive long enough to invent the c-section.

If it is abnormal in universe, or the character has already been having complications, there is no need to explain.

Intentionally Vague Birth
This might mean setting the fic entirely in the earlier part of the pregnancy, or skipping straight from first contraction to baby snuggles, or it could mean having someone in the waiting room as the point of view character. If you don't want to get into it, you don't have to! Maybe the fic is one where the baby is already born and the details of the birth are left out entirely.

I'm going to split my requested tags into sections for pregnancy fic, pregnancy art, baby fic, and baby art. Feel free to use a tag from any section to write or draw anything, I just split them up this way so that hopefully any combination a person could possibly match on would make sense. I have prompts to go with some tags but not others. That doesn't mean I want those more, it just means I have more to say about them. Most tags function just fine as prompts on their own. For anything pregnancy related, I don't have a preference for which one should be pregnant. I requested both.

A/B/O - Surprise Heat Results in Pregnancy
Maybe it's his first heat, or maybe his heats are irregular and this one came at a bad time. Maybe he thought he was a beta and didn't expect to ever have a heat.

Difficult Pregnancy
Maybe it's complications or just standard pregnancy discomfort but he hates it, maybe it's more emotional and everything seems worse because he doesn't think he's ready, or he had a bad experience before.

Active Character is Put On Early Bedrest Due To Health Concerns
This would probably drive him crazy, but it's a good excuse for some nice caretaking.

Character Terrified to Reveal Pregnancy
Maybe they're young and they haven't been together for very long and they're afraid of the reactions of their coaches and families. Maybe they're happy and in a decent position for a kid, but they're afraid of the reaction they're going to get out of their fans.

Character undecided about staying pregnant has miscarriage scare and just wants baby to be okay

Going from being an in-shape professional athlete to bring pregnant and knowing how much work it's going to take to go back to what he was able to do before, but also being happy about the baby.

Contraceptive Failure

Friends with benefits while pining further complicated by unplanned pregnancy

Late blooming omega thought he was a beta until accidental pregnancy proved otherwise
I like this one for Otabek, but it would probably be good with Yuri too. Maybe his one and only heat was so mild he didn't even realize that's what was happening until he realizes he's pregnant and tries to think back to when it could have possibly happened.

Just starting to show

Pregnancy Is Extremely Rare but Not Entirely Unheard Of

Pregnant at the worst possible time (but keeping the baby)
Maybe immediately post-canon, or even much later but during an olympics year, or he knew he only had a couple years left before he would have to retire and now he doesn't get those. Maybe they just got together or aren't even together yet.

Secret relationship revealed due to accidental pregnancy
By the time one of them has a baby bump, there's a whole mountain of speculation over who the other dad is. The only way to make it stop is to public with their relationship.

Trying for baby but wrong partner gets pregnant
Maybe Otabek is retired but Yuri is still skating. Maybe Yuri had plans to document his entire pregnancy on instagram, maybe one of them has a history of miscarriage and swore he would never get pregnant again.

Unplanned/Accidental Pregnancy

Character believes they miscarried until discovering later they are still pregnant
He had some bleeding and cramping and thought that was it and tried to move on until later he finds out he's still pregnant after all.

For this tag and the unaware of pregnancy until feeling first kicks tag, this would probably be a situation where pregnancy is unusual or unexpected so he had no reason to suspect it until it became pretty undeniable, or a situation where he knew he was pregnant but thought he had miscarried much earlier.


Baby fic tags

Accidentally ending up with a baby from one night stand; asks love interest’s help to raise them
This is way more specific than I like to go on prompts, so feel free to change literally everything about it, but I've had this idea in my head for a long time where Otabek has a one night stand with a female friend in an attempt to figure out if he's gay or bi (I'm fine with him coming to either conclusion, but I have a soft spot for gay Otabek) She's in on it, maybe it was even her idea, but she ghosts him soon after anyway. He spends a few months intentionally not making a move on Yuri because he doesn't want to ruin another friendship, only for the two of them to finally get together right before Otabek's old friend shows up with a newborn and says that she was planning to give the kid up for adoption, but she wanted to give Otabek the chance to raise them instead if that's something he wants to do. He decides to keep the baby and is prepared for that to mean the end of things with Yuri, but it isn't.


Character adopts infant relative when family member can't (or won't) raise it
Yuri's mom has another baby that she has no business raising. Maybe she tries to leave the baby with Nikolai and he's going to try despite being way too old to start over with a newborn but Yuri steps in instead, or maybe child services leaves the baby with Yuri because he's the closest family. It would especially be great if Yuri didn't even realize the baby existed until suddenly he was responsible for their wellbeing.

Getting together while caring for baby
This one could go well with either of the tags listed above. Maybe they weren't together yet and one offers to help the other out with the baby and it leads to getting together.

Parents and Baby Bonding

Bringing the baby home from the hospital
Those first few days home and the exhaustion and adjusting to having a baby outside of the bubble of the hospital.

First time having sex postpartum

Postpartum belly embarrassment; body worship from partner

Postpartum recovery
It doesn't all just go back immediately, so trying dealing with the discomfort of recovering from childbirth and the embarrassment over what he looks like and trying to be realistic about what's going to go into getting back to the shape he was in before, meanwhile the other is just in awe of him for doing what he did.
